Ingredients
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 cup Pine Nuts (or walnuts)
- 2 cup Basil Leaves (washed & dried, no stems, cut into pieces with scissors)
- 3/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3/4 cup Parmesan Cheese (shredded)
- 2 tbsp Butter (optional)
Steps
In a food processor with a very sharp blade:
- Blend garlic & pine nuts to paste
- Add basil and blend some more
- Slowly add olive oil while blending until creamy
- Mix in parmesan cheese and butter and blend slightly
- Put in a jar and cover with a layer of olive oil and place in fridge
