Ingredients: Real Butter (this won’t work otherwise)
- Heat a pan on high heat on the stove for at least five minutes.
- Add your butter and start stirring until it’s all liquid.
- Stir occasionally until the butter starts to turn brown in color. It will smell nutty and toasty.
- As soon as it’s a medium brown instead of golden, do one of the following (immediately!): add your food to the pan, or pour your brown butter into a dish. Straining is optional.
You can add this stuff to almost anything that’s already improved by the addition of butter.
