Gingersnaps From the kitchen of taylorrific

Ingredients:

  • 2c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1tsp baking soda
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1tsp ground cloves
  • 1tsp powdered ginger
  • 3/4c. shortening
  • 1c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. molasses

Directions: Preheat oven to 375ยบ

Mix together dry ingredients in a bowl. I use a fork so I don’t have to bother sifting.

Beat everything else in a mixer until evenly combined. Add in the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. (You can also just dump all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together if you’re in a hurry)

Line cookie sheets with parchment, form dough into balls and roll in sugar. Place on the parchment and press down with a fork for a crisscross pattern on the top. Or don’t. Depends how fancy you want to go.

Bake for about 12-15 minutes.
