Walnut Torte From the kitchen of taylorrific

Preheat oven to 325ยบ

Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. ground walnuts

Directions:

Beat egg whites at high speed until soft. Add sugar and keep beating until stiff peaks form.

In a separate bowl, beat yolks until thick and lemon colored.

Beat in 1/2 c. sugar.

Stir in bread crumbs, flour and 2/3 c. ground nuts.

With whisk or rubber spatula, gently fold yolk mixture into egg white mixture.

Two layer pans: Bake 25 min. One large sheet pan: Bake 40 min.

Cool and frost with homemade whipped cream and berries.
