you cut them in half and place them face down (so as to maximize the carmalization) in a baking pan (or sautee pan on the stove if you prefer- quicker). toss with olive oil and pepper and garlic salt

you want them good and cooked/roasted so if its on the stove medium/ med. low for like 20-25. Oven = 325 for 30 or so.
