Skillet Seared Steak From the kitchen of trey
Ingredients
- Flatiron steak(s)
- Cast iron skillet, one for each steak
- Olive oil
- Favorite steak seasonsings (sea salt, ground pepper, etc)
Directions
- Place skillets in oven and preheat to 500°F
- Rub seasonings and olive oil onto the steaks
- After oven reaches 500°F, remove skillets from oven and place them over a high flame on the stove
- Immediately place steaks on the dry skillets
- 30 seconds on one side, then flip. 30 seconds on the next side, then put in oven. 90 seconds in oven, then flip. 90 more seconds, then remove and serve
